I enjoy finding creative ways to communicate about research to different audiences. I’ve performed stand up comedy sets about my work, including Bright Club in Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Zoo-lol-ogy stand and Say My Names stand up nights and a British Academy Summer Showcase.
I contributed poems to the book Galalith edited by artist Lauren Gault and producer Katherine Murphy in 2022, made up of quotes from dairy farmers who took part in the Cows Eat Grass, Don’t They? project. I performed a spoken word set about my work at the Ethical Dairy conference at Rainton Farm, Dumfries and Galloway in 2019.
I enjoy interacting with the public and discussing research at events like the Royal Highland Show and Pint of Science. I took part in the science communication event Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas at the Edinburgh Fringe from 2017-2019 with a show about the “Cows Eat Grass, Don’t They?” project.
